MORE POETRY

Tropical island poem
By Macey
A tropical island is crystal clear waters lapping over soft velvet sand
As the calm palm trees sway on top of me I feel relaxed and calm
As I snorkel under the water I feel crunchy coral snapping under my feet
The colorful fish brush past me tickling my leg making me giggle
A tropical island is a huge green emerald with sparkling blue crystals sparkling around it

My Dreams Are Clouds
by Krista Cassimatis

My dreams are clouds,
They hover high in the sky above me,
Too far to reach but still able to be seen,

My dreams are clouds,
They drift away into endless sky,
For me to loose and somebody to find,

My dreams are clouds,
They cause unwanted storms,
Wanting to be unleashed,

My dreams are clouds,
They come from nowhere,
And disappear into thin air.

Mastacheo

by TARA BROWNE

Eating his spaghetti leaving a noodle left over
For later
I wonder what creepy crawlies
Live in that disgusting forest
Of his
Laying in bed at night having
Hairs on night patrol
Ready to suck in whatever
Comes into their sight
Fired from his job
Cause people were finding not very nice
Things in there food
SO PASTACHEO PASTACHEO PLEASE
SHAVE YOUR MASTACHEO!

My Mum is like a Star
By Georgia Greenrod

My mum is always with me.
She is like a star,
Shining inside and out.

She is always able to light up my life.
Her eyes are always shimmering.

My mum is like a star,
Unstoppable all the time.

She is like a bright, shining, STAR.

MY MUM IS A BIG PART OF MY HEART

My mum is like a vital organ,
That I couldn't live without.

She is like a guidance person,
When I’m sad,
She knows how I feel.
My mum comforts me,
Like a bear comforts her cubs,
When danger approaches.

My mum is a fierce as a lion,
She always has my back.
She chooses the best decision,
Guiding my future path.
My mum would take a bullet for me,
Like I would catch a grenade for her.

 Autumn leaves
by KYLE WYBER

You paint the picture
Of the falling sun
Traveling on forever
When you finally
Find a place to stay
The picture is being painted

Once more again

The Sun
by Louise.c
The sun is bright it shines from light to night
The sun it has different personalities
It can burn during the day
And even during the night
The sun is always there
The sun it makes you happy
Even when you’re sad
It helps you wake up
Before your mum calls for a new day
The sun
It lights my world

MY MUM IS A STAR BECAUSE ………………. Keren Deyto
She is a one-of-a kind super-mum that protects me as a guardian angel.
 She shines with originality :)
She is an angel that fell from heaven that has been scarred and bruised but still shines.
She shines through the tough times :)
She is my knight in shining armour that is not only brave but wise.
She shines with bravery :)
She is a computer that blurts out advice that will help me with life: it could be useful information OR NOT.
She shines with wisdom :)
She try’s to be the clown in my life which still makes me laugh even though it’s bad.
She shines with wittiness :)
She shines with awesomeness that has been passed on from generation to generation (that means me :))
She shines with awesomeness :)

Deserted island
By Nicholas Zaccardelli
As I slash my way through
The many trees I finally see the bedazzling sand
Glimmering on the hot sun
I walk onto the fiery sand
Crunch, crunch as I enter the glistening water
It feels so warm
As I see the fish
Playing hide and seek with the shark
I quickly squirm away
I run out of the water in fear
Diving onto the scorching sand
But then I remember
The sand is so hot!
I quickly jump up
In terror
Running back into the green forest

Sunset

by JOEL GARCIA
As the sun sets
Another day ends
The shimmering water
The glittering hills
The whales pop up
They spray water everywhere
Time to relax
As the day is gone
The night begins
The moon appears
The wolves come out
To hunt their prey
A family waits for the oncoming day

Waves
by ANDREW FOSTER

The fall of the waves explode
As a white mist flows past me
A wide cylinder inside
As it tumbles over me
Waiting for the next one to splash
Diving in the wave
As it falls behind
Skimming out as the rest of the mist flickers me

The ocean
by SARAH-ROSE TALIVAKAOLA

The ocean is paradise
It’s a huge blanket protecting the
Magical world below
The ocean is a place of happiness
Its an underwater rainbow
With bright, bold, brilliant colours
The ocean is the biggest swimming pool in the world
Thousands of people enjoy its
Cold hugs tackles
The ocean is paradise
And will be forever.

My dreams are my heart
by Gari
My dreams are my heart
I can’t live without them
I constantly dream
Day and night
When I relive memories
They turn into dreams
When I stop dreaming
My heart stops beating
When my dreams are dark there is always a cure
But when there isn’t I keep dreaming.

MY DREAMS CLOUDS
by Vongi Chikonzo

My dreams are clouds
My gateway to happiness
Drifting through the air
Seeming impossible to catch
Run after them before they leave forever

Taking me around the world
Slowly making its way into my mind
Waiting to be opened
Imagination is the only key needed
Just for me
Each person has a different cloud
This is mine
My gateway to happiness

Sometimes they’re dark and stormy
Pouring out rain and sadness
A heavy anchor on my shoulders
Lifted I feel free
A breeze in the air
Flowing freely as a leaf in the sky
My gateway to happiness
My dreams are like clouds.

Stranded
By Liesey Gray
I woke up on a stranded island, after days and nights overboard.
I see palm trees swaying above,
The hot sand burning my feet
I can’t remember where the crystal clear water came from.
As I spun around I see miles and miles of empty land
Nothing was there only me and these cute cuddly animals
the day drew to an end
With no food to eat
I sat there freezing listening
To the birds singing me an lullaby, as I’m falling asleep.
The next day I spent calling for help.
Day after day I surveyed until….
An old cocky voice saying
“Who’s there, who’s out there”
